Mr. Carmichael is currently a private investor as well as the Vice President of Business Development for Utility Service Partners, Inc. Mr. Carmichael joined Consolidated Natural Gas’s interstate pipeline company in 1976. During his 26 year career at CNG and Dominion, Mr. Carmichael held a series of increasingly responsible positions that led to the improvement of the company’s financial, regulatory compliance and accounting processes. In April 2002, Mr. Carmichael left Dominion Resources and along with two other former Dominion senior managers formed a self-funded, privately held company to search for acquisition targets.
In September, 2003, Mr. Carmichael and his colleagues formed Utility Service Partners, Inc. and acquired Columbia Service Partners, Inc. from NiSource. Mr. Carmichael graduated from West Virginia University in 1975 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration.
